Samsung has lifted the lid on the Galaxy S21 FE, the long-awaited and reputedly much delayed last entry in the Galaxy S21 series. As expected, the Galaxy S21 FE has a 6.4-inch display and a Snapdragon 888, an SoC that Qualcomm has superseded with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Incidentally, Samsung has opted against selling the Galaxy S21 FE with its in-house Exynos 2100 chipset. A choice of two memory configurations will join the last-generation SoC:

It has taken Samsung a while, but it has finally launched the Galaxy S21 FE. The smartphone arrives in four colours, two memory options and a high starting price. Samsung has decided against using the Exynos 2100 in its latest flagship smartphone, too.
The S21 FE also has a 120 Hz panel, like the rest of the Galaxy S21 series and its predecessor. Samsung intersects the FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera too, a 32 MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture an 81° field of view. Additionally, the device has three rear-facing cameras consisting of a 12 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide and an 8 MP telephoto lens. Only the primary camera is optically stabilised, though.
A 4,500 mAh battery powers the Galaxy S21 FE that it can recharge at 25 W. The device supports up to 15 W wireless charging and Samsung’s Wireless PowerShare functionality. The Galaxy S21 FE is IP68 certified and measures 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm for reference. The device also weighs 177 g, yielding a footprint between the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE starts at €749 with 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. However, the device rises to €819 if you want 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Neither model has a microSD card slot, either. The Galaxy S21 FE will be available from January 11 in the Eurozone; the device will come pre-loaded with One UI 4.0, Samsung’s version of Android 12.
